About Me

Shiree Murdoch
Director

Currently based in Auckland, I returned to NZ in 2018 after 18 years living and working in London. Originally from Ashburton, I studied at Canterbury and the first part of my career was in Retail Sales at Mobil Oil NZ Limited. During my time at Mobil, I moved into HR, and have spent the last 25 years of my career working across HR and Operations. In London I worked in both Financial and Professional Services, with the last 12 years at Director level at EY and then Nabarro LLP. I had a year of travel before returning home and before setting up Murdoch Consulting, I was the Head of HR at Triton Hearing.  Since 2022 I have been in large scale manufacturing as a Leadership Team member and GM People, Culture & Safety at Oji Fibre Solutions.  

During my career to date my roles have had a significant change agenda. Key to success has been balancing working with Senior Leadership Teams and Boards in a calm and practical way while also leading my own large  teams. My blend of experience means that I can perform across the spectrum of the people agenda bringing a mixture of strategic thinking grounded in a hands on practical approach.  I have been a member of three NZ boards and am a Chartered Member of the NZ Institute of Directors, and a Chartered Fellow of the UK Institute of Personnel Development.

Shiree joined the Triton Hearing business in New Zealand at a pivotal time. Our challenger brand aspirations lead to a period of rapid growth and market share gain, along with significant ‘growing pains’. I worked with Shiree for 6 years firstly when I was Managing Partner at Nabarro LLP, a UK law firm, and then post-merger at CMS where she became the HR Director of the newly merged Global firm.
